Food Bank Fundraiser at Sechelt Farm Market a Success

2012 Wine & Cheese with photos

HI All,

We had a very fun filled afternoon this past Sunday at Bev Zacharias home  for our 2nd annual Wine + Cheese, thank you Bev for opening up your home for this club event.  Approximately 55 people attended over the course of the afternoon.  All of the teams contributed items for our Silent Auction, which raised $1142.00 for the Club.  Thanks to everyone who contributed items and kept the bidding going on Sunday
afternoon.

There will be the usual board meetings, dates will be published soon. Moonlight paddles and paddler picnics spontaneously arranged. We will be looking for volunteers to help at some of these events so think about the one that sparks your volunteer interest.

On January 6th and 7th Sally, Edna, Catherine, Cheryl, Marla and Raymonde participated in a strategic planning meeting to set goals for 2012. Our facilitator was Michael Worsfold who volunteered his time to make sure we staying on track. Using your feedback from the survey we brainstormed and reached consensus on plans for this paddling season. As your board we will do our best to implement the events we have planned. Off-Season Paddling Dates

If you are missing paddling you will be glad to know that Marla has organized dates for off-season paddling. They are:

November 19, 26, December 3, 10

We are taking the Dragonfly out so space is limited to 10 paddlers. Email Marla ASAP @ marla.taylor5@gmail.com to reserve your seat, otherwise you might be disappointed.
